Installing SQL Server 2012 - Error: Prior Visual Studio 2010 instances requiring update

The solution of this error is very simple You have to follow these two simple steps and you will solve your problem of installing SQL Server 2012.

Just follow these steps:
Open temp folder where files are extracted after click on run setup that you download or purchase a CD.

1: Go to this directory redist/visualstudioshell
2: Now run this file vs10sp1-kb983509.msp

After installation just back button and go to previous step (Feature Selection) and then press and next button your error will resolve.
